| iMMap Express Imagemap Menu "Stock index" demonstration (navigation map)
|
|
- This menu is an imagemap menu enhanced with drop-down menus.
- This demonstrates the high capacity of the Express and Pro versions of iMMap.
- There are over 1000 separate menu entries in this menu - you can check the
original index file here to see for yourself.
- For the appearance, a minimalist approach has been used - the direct colour
parameters were used to make the submenus purely black and white (with shaded
grey surrounds). Imaginative colours are also possible.
- The imagemap hotspot shapes were adjusted in the mp file so that the
right-hand sides of the rectangles are aligned vertically. Repeating the
circular shape on the right-hand side would have obscured some of the
hotspots - the vertical alignment is more user-friendly with this design.
- A particularly small text has been used here - just make it larger
by tweaking parameters in the HTML-
- Remember that iMMap is an open design system - with your own graphics
and map files you can radically change the appearance.
- The hyperlinks have been deactivated here, so if you click on anything, you will
not be taken to any other pages.
- The demo here uses iMMap Pro, but does not go beyond the features and
performance present in iMMap Express. Don't forget to download a trial version
before you buy.
- You should be aware that, like most other java menus, the pop-up menus on this
applet cannot pop-up over frame borders or even pop-up outside the applet. Read
the technical note on this topic.
