Hybrid drop-down menu / image-map menus
Advanced colour formatting

The following additional eight parameters are available. They all take the standard HTML hexadecimal values (FF0000 = red, 00FF00 = green, 0000FF = blue, and so on). These can be used to override the hue, brightness and contrast parameters which calculate a default set of eight colours.

<param name=textcol1 value="ff0000"> (main text colour)
<param name=textcol2 value="00ff00"> (highlighted text colour)
<param name=textcol3 value="0000ff"> (highlight rectangle behind text)
<param name=bgcol1 value="0000ff"> (border: top-left outer)
<param name=bgcol2 value="0000ff"> (border: top-left inner)
<param name=bgcol3 value="0000ff"> (submenu background fill)
<param name=bgcol4 value="0000ff"> (border: bottom-right inner)
<param name=bgcol5 value="0000ff"> (border: bottom-right outer)

Do not insert a # before the hexadecimal codes. Manipulating the inner and outer border colours can be used to create effects such as raise or lowered panels, or by matching them to the background fill colour you can make the border thinner or make it disappear. Using darker bottom-right colours and lighter top-left colours creates a slight 3D shadow effect that aids menu clarity. However many pop-up menus prefer a thin black border all the way round.

If you are using the Pro version, the optional background image for the submenus will make the background fill colour redundant, but the border colours will still show around the image (unless the borders are switched off).
