Top menu configuration
  1. Enter your own images for top-level menu.
  2. Top level items can be stacked horizontally for topbar implementations or vertically for sidebar implementations.
  3. Supports full preloaded rollover image for easy effects design.
  4. Supports individual adjustment of hotspot sizes.
Submenu configuration
  1. Can be set to pop up, down or left with respect to top level menus.
  2. Framebuster capability: submenus appear over other frames and windows or HTML content in other pages without any need for coding in those pages - allows highly efficient navigation systems to be created.
  3. Explode option on Windows for animated pops and drops; multi-directional explode configuration and adjustable explode speed.
  4. 13 specific submenu formating parameters and 16 further stylesheet parameters.
  5. Optional minimum and fixed heights and widths of submenus to fit image backgrounds and/or force line-wrapping
  6. 10 submenu levels (more can be customised on request).
Text appearance
  1. Stylesheets for menu entry formatting with 16 commands per style - commands include many colour and font options.
  2. Stylesheet wizard: with 3 preset global styling patterns for super-fast advanced formating.
  3. Stylesheets may specify up to 50 styles, allowing fast group or individual formatting of menu entries; set the styles fast using the development environment's instantly updating WYSIWYG display.
  4. Line-wrapping of long menu entries - up to 20 lines per entry.
  5. Multi-icon entries: assign up to 50 different icons of your own.
  6. Two-colour separators available.
  7. Optional bullets precede text.
  8. Mouse-over causes a context-sensitive message display in the browser status window.
  9. Text alignment options allow left, right and centre alignment of text.
  10. Text-graphics: text may be replaced in the menu with small text-graphics allowing use of any fonts and styles you wish.
  11. Line spacing adjustment options.
  12. Text shadows: enhanced shadow or embossed effects.
  13. Extended characters available (e.g. accented letters).
Multi-function click operations
  1. Full standard hyperlink functionality with frame-targeting, anchors, absolute and relative addressing to anywhere on the net.
  2. Multi-command functionality. Unlimited numbers of links targeted into different frames may be triggered by a single click.
  3. A single click can trigger an unlimited combination of hyperlink, audio and other functions.
  4. Clicks can trigger user-defined javascript/DHTML functions (not Mac).
  5. Remote controls: exposed methods allow various changes to be made to the applet from outside.
  6. Page-sensitive menus without applet reloading. New indices can be loaded into the applet corresponding to page changes in the other frame(s).
  7. DRILL command for runtime loading of new indices.
  8. TIMER command for timed event sequences.
  9. Path substitutions for reducing index file size.
Indices
  1. Powerful index format allowing multiple command execution and tag graphics.
  2. Standard format for all our applets allowing 100% portability of indices.
  3. Dual-loading: may be read from external files, parameters, or both.
  4. High index capacity - tested with single index files up to 100,000 entries.
  5. Unlimited index size using index hyperlinks (drills) to manage multiple part indices.
  6. Automatic index generation when designing with an index creator. Have an index created from your site at the click of a button.
  7. Index editor facility with drag-and-drop functionality and wizards for creating efficient multiple index systems in seconds.

Images
  1. Standard and rollover images for top-level menu with especially easy configuration.
  2. Background image for submenu system: tiled to fit if necessary - just like HTML backgrounds.
  3. Tag-images: menu entries may be suffixed with small images of your choice - typically used to indicate "new", "cool", "updated" and similar notices. (Tag images only appear when the menu is left-aligned).
Performance
  1. JDK 1.1 compatible - requires version 4+ browsers.
  2. Comes with optional signed CAB file for removal of browser warning messages attached to bottom of MSIE submenus.
  3. Comes with optional signed JAR file for removal of browser warning messages attached to bottom of N6 submenus.

  6. Mac compatible - but with modified behaviour and lower performance, particularly on Netscape for Macintosh.
  7. Online demonstrations include examples with indices approaching 3,000 items, and yet load and perform at high speed; much larger indices should be possible with no performance loss.
  8. Can optionally be implemented without any external graphics to speed up performance and loading time; likewise indices may optionally be loaded from parameters with similar effect.
  9. Advanced safety management: JVM error detection with lifeboat page safeguards your site reputation.
Tools and Templates
  1. Site indexing application creates the indices which the menu applets visualise. Application includes numerous wizard operations and drag-and-drop editting.
  2. Preset designs are included with the downloadable trials. These can be used as templates to help you create your own menu design.
Other features
  1. Multiple cursor types: "hand" and "wait" cursors appear at appropriate times (not Mac).
