| Tree menu: iTree Pro-XQ Powertree Keyboard commands
About half of the keyboard commands are for editing the tree. These editing
keyboard commands can be switched off using the keyeditor
parameter if you don't want particular users to have access to this
feature (see parameters). Don't forget that many other methods of
editing are available, including context menu, javascript and drag-and-drop.
Keyboard shortcuts for editing
- Moving the selected menu item
- SHIFT up-arrow = move up
- SHIFT down-arrow = move down
- SHIFT left-arrow = unindent
- SHIFT right-arrow = indent
- SHIFT home = move to top
- SHIFT end = move to end
- Copying, pasting, deleting and undoing
- SHIFT insert = paste below
- CTRL insert = paste above
- ALT insert = paste as submenu
- SHIFT delete = cut
- delete = delete
- CTRL C = copy
- ESC = undo
- CTRL U = undo
- CTRL R = refresh
Keyboard shortcuts which are always available and which
do not change the menu content
- General shortcuts
- TAB = switch to the next tabbed tree view
- PAGE-DOWN = scroll down
- PAGE-UP = scroll up
- Moving the selection marker from one menu item to another (the tree
will scroll with the selection marker)
- up-arrow = move highlight
- down-arrow = move highlight
- home = move highlight to top
- end = move highlight to end
- Folder operations
- left-arrow = toggle folder open/closed
- right-arrow = toggle folder open/closed (same thing!)
