Error 2
Return to knowledge base directory

Purchased applets are locked to the locations you specify when ordering. If you get an error 2, it could mean either that we made a mistake when doing the lock, or that you have put the applet somewhere it wasn't licenced for. It may be, for example, that you need a licenced development location and forgot to tell us about it. It may be that your production server just changed its name.

To help you identify the correct name of the location for licencing purposes, the applets always print out an analysis of the location's naming conventions to the java console. The java console is normally hidden in the menu options of the browsers. Older MSIE browsers don't have a java console at all.

If you are in doubt about the naming conventions, copy and paste the java console contents to us and we will advise.
